I am a medical sociologist with interdisciplinary training in feminist theory and political economy. My doctoral work in Sociology at York University explored pharmaceutical industry influence in medical education in the United States and Canada. Following this, I did Postdoctoral fellowship at Dalhousie University studying emerging health researchers and the commercialization of academic science. I am currently doing a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. I am studying the political economy of molecular diagnostics.
